Ironhold Works

The crew · since 1978

Four Generations.One Standard.

Ironhold Works has been fabricating and erecting structural steel from the same Milwaukee yard for 48 years. The names on the payroll change slowly; the name on the gate has not changed at all.

The Long Ledger

1978

Elias Holt opens a two-bay weld shop on Foundry Road with one saw, one crane, and his father's anvil.

1994

First AISC certification. The shop takes on bridge plate work for the county and never gives it back.

2011

The second bay becomes a second building. Rail and grain clients follow the work north and south.

2026

The fourth generation runs the floor. Same address. Same standard. Heavier iron.

How The Yard Runs

The weld is signed

Every joint on every job carries the mark of the man who made it. Pride is traceable here — so is fault.

The schedule is the promise

A bid date is not a guess. If we say erected by October, the iron is up in October.

Nobody works alone

Four generations taught us the same thing: the trade survives because the crew outranks the ego.

Held To Code.Held To Better.

AISC certified since 1994. Every welder on the floor carries AWS D1.1 qualification, and the yard has run a decade without a single OSHA recordable. Those aren’t marketing numbers — they’re the terms of employment.
